The Privateers of the Dauntless
The Sacramento Historical Maritime Educational Organization, Inc.

The Sacramento Historical Maritime Educational Organization is dedicated to the preservation and education of maritime history of the 16th and 17th centuries. Our goal is to enlighten and open the eyes of both young and old, to the colorful history of the merchant mariners and privateers of days past. We endeavor to bring history alive through live historical re-enactment on a land transportable stage that closely emulates a 16th century square rigged merchant/privateer vessel. Our members will assume the attire and persona of the Captain, officers, and crew of an ancient sailing vessel. Through this medium we will educate the public, children and adult, in the daily life, duties, skills, terminology, and even the politics of the maritime life. Our living history conducted via "gig" and improvisational acting will capture our audience’s imagination allowing us to teach our skills and history of a past era.

To that end Gadget Tom (aka Master Thomas Maclaren) has secured a dealership for Swords, Daggers, Armor, and such through C.A.S. Iberia.  These are fine quality swords and daggers, many are as functional as they are decorative.  These are some of the same blades that you'll find at fair or in many of the prominent mail order catalogs the we Ren folk do receive.  As a general rule we do not stock any items, all are special order.  For this reason we can keep our overhead down and pass on some savings.  This is NOT our primary business and we do not intend to open a booth and compete with our Boothie Friends at Fair.

We do this to offer great savings for our guild and renaissance friends.

We represent ourselves as "Maclaren's Armory"

We do not set up or sell at Ren fairs,  We do take special orders via phone and E'mail and make deliveries at various events.

Our warranties are that that are provided by the manufacture and vary from item to item.  In most cases CAS Iberia will replace a blade that has defects for 1 year as long as they were not misused.  For practical blade proper use includes live steel reenactment.

If you've had your eye on a nice blade, don't mind waiting a few weeks to get it, and would like to save a few $'s then give us a try.

    Here's how it works:

Swords - Daggers - Armor - Poll Arms - Etc.

C.A.S. Iberia  - Click the link to the left to go to the C.A.S. Iberia site.  I can order anything they show on this site.  Make note of the Model number and price.  The price listed is the Manufacture Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) which is typically what most shops charge.  For your price, multiply the MSRP by the following:

Take 20% off MSRP = MSRP x 0.8 = your price!  Great savings!

These prices are plus CA sales tax at 7.75% unless your out of state,  plus shipping if applicable.  I typically deliver ordered items during fairs and in that case there is no shipping charges.

Send a E'mail to me at Sales@gadgettom.com with the items you want,  include the model number, I'll contact you with the complete invoice pricing and payment options.

See you at Fair!
