Prices subject to change without notice. All prices plus shipping and handling. Sales tax added if shipped to a California address. Minimum order of $20
Ordering Information
You can place your order by the Internet Web Store, Phone, FAX, Mail or E’Mail.
Phone Orders:
Call us at (916) 686-9949, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM PST, 7 days a week. If we're out when you call, (not uncommon) leave a message and we will fill your order and/or return your call as soon as possible.
On-Line Internet Orders:
Our primary ordering method is via our Web Store. You can access our web store and place orders 24/7 The shopping cart is reasonably accurate regarding the stock status of items but we do not guarantee that items are in stock. The on-line system will correctly handle the actual shipping charges based on the customers shipping preference and item weight plus $3.00 for packaging and handling. ($5.00 for international shipping)

Please include your return address, order list, and phone number so we can call and verify/confirm your order. We recommend that you do NOT send credit card numbers for your security. Let us call you to complete credit card payment

Gadget Tom. We recommend that you do NOT send all credit card numbers in one email. Send half of the digits in one email, and the other half in another email the next day. Don't forget to include the name as it appears on the card, the expiration date, and the zip code of the address where the bill to the credit card is sent. Or let us call you to complete credit card payment.Shipping & Handling:
Shipment will be made by U.S. Postal Service Priority Service (USPS).. Our web store is electronically connected to the United States Post Office to calculate your actual shipping costs based on the shipment weight and your postal code. Our goal is to ship you "In Stock" orders within 48 hours, Monday through Friday, not including holidays that effect the US Post Office.
Note: USPS does not have tracking numbers. Delivery confirmation tags are not trackable and will only report if the package was delivered to the correct zip code so we do not use them. If you need tracking we suggest purchasing postal insurance.
United States:
Actual shipping cost plus insurance (if requested), plus $3.00 for handling and packaging.
Foreign:
We currently configured to handle shipping to customers in many counties. If your country is not listed drop us a note and we can add this for you. Shipping charges applied by Gadget Tom's Hobby only cover the shipping to the destination country. All other taxes, duties and/or fees are the responsibility of the customer. Rate is at cost + $5.00 for special handling. Sorry, no sales to areas where insurance is not available unless you take full responsibility, in writing, for its loss or damage during shipping.

Code (9503.10.90.90) allows model railroad electronics to enter Canada duty free. You must still pay Canadian sales tax.
Loss or Damaged:
Gadget Tom's offers postal insurance on all orders. Insurance is required on all international shipments but optional on all domestic shipments. Customers are responsible for all shipping loss or damage. While we are happy to work with you on lost or damaged packages they are beyond our control once we put them in the USPS system. If you desire more protection we strongly encourage postal insurance for your order.
Customers that have received a damaged package or suspect their package is lost should contact the US Post Office immediately. The US Post Office will not accept a claim for a lost package until it's 30 days past due. Customers that have a lost or damaged package that purchased postal insurance need to file a claim with the US Post Office. Gadget Tom's will be happy to provide any information required for the claim but is not liable or responsible for replacement or refund for a lost package or package damaged by the shipper.

We accept Visa and MasterCard,. Please have credit card information ready when calling: credit card type, number, expiration date, your name as it appears on the credit card, and the zip code of where the bill to the credit card is sent. If mailing, FAXing, or emailing your order, be sure to include all the credit card information on the order form.
Return Policy:
Returns or exchanges must be shipped post paid (no C.O.D.) within 30 days of invoice. Returns must be pre-approved by Gadget Tom’s Hobby via phone or E’Mail. Merchandise must be complete in new, unused, condition with original undamaged packaging and documentation. There may be a 10% restocking charge unless we determine the fault was ours. There may be a 10% restocking charge if packaging or documentation isn't complete or is damaged. No refund on any shipping & handling charges unless the fault was ours. If item(s) damaged in shipment, save box and packaging and contact shipper.
NO RETURNS AFTER 30 DAYS.
Cancellations:
All orders and back order cancellations must be in writing by E’Mail, FAX or letter and can only be canceled if not in transit to us or to the customer.
Special Orders:
Returns of special orders are subject to the above return policy, plus manufacturer's or distributor's restocking policy -- i.e., if the manufacturer will not take it back from us, we cannot take it back from you. Cancellation of a special order is subject to shipping and restocking charges by the manufacturer or distributor.
